great summer shot
This is a wonderful photograph. Every time I see it, it raises my spirits. For me, it is reminiscent of summers in years gone past. It suggests a carefree road trip in the mountains, across the plains, or on the coast. Perhaps the girl is changing her skirt in preparation for meeting up with her friends. Or maybe she is meeting up with a special friend. Or maybe she is just taking her skirt off to engage in an activity a little less innocent but more fun.
The details of the image are just right. The girl is pretty. She is wearing a nice outfit. Except for her skirt, she is still fully dressed. Her sleeves are long. She is even wearing sunglasses. Only her skirt is off, revealing her distractingly beautiful legs. It is a pretty picture, but it is more than that. What makes this photograph especially good is how, with that image, you have captured that moment in time, frozen it to be re-experienced again and again with all of the good feelings it engenders. Just perfect.
This is one of my favorite photos on DeviantART, one of only ten out of the thousands I have looked in the last few weeks. Good job.
